Confused about what products to use based on your skin type? Wondering what your skin type even is? Different skin types need different types of products. Here is our quick guide on what generally works best!
It might be very obvious to you what your skin type is, but it might not. A good way to test this is to wash your face with a gentle cleanser at night, but don’t follow it with a serum, moisturizer, or anything else. In the morning, check your skin for oiliness and dryness.
Normal/Combination Skin Types
Normal skin is neither dry nor oily. Combination is both — oily in some places (usually the T-zone, your forehead and nose), and dry in others. Our line for Normal and Combination skin is balancing and suitable for both of these skin types!
Use these products in the morning and at night, in this order:
- Aloe Herb Cleanser
- Neroli Toning Mist
- Probiotic Serum with Tremella
- Herbal Facial Oil for Normal/Combination Skin
- Anti-Aging Eye Cream
Use these products as you need them, about once or twice a week:
- Kaolin Micro Exfoliate—Apply a thin layer and gently exfoliate in a circular motion for one minute. Leave on for five minutes and rinse.
- Charcoal Cacao Mask — Wash your face and then apply mask generously, including around the eyes. For a spa-like experience and optimal results, before applying mask, open pores in bath or shower, or with a warm towel. Leave on for at least 15 minutes. Rinse off with wet towel and pat skin dry.
Anti-Aging/Dry Mature Skin Types
This skin type is usually dry or in need or some extra moisture to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. If you fit this category but tend toward oily skin, the facial oil for normal/combination skin might be more suitable for you.
Use these products in the morning and at night, in this order:
- Aloe Herb Cleanser or Phytonutrient Cleanser
- Neroli Toning Mist
- Anti-Aging Serum and/or Wild Fruit Serum
The Anti-Aging Serum reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, plumping and nourishing the skin. The Citrus Stem Cell Serum brightens and evens the look of your skin tone. We recommend using the Citrus Stem Cell Serum morning and night for 30-40 days. Because this is a more nutritionally dense product, twice daily use in the long term isn’t right for everyone. It’s great to alternate the serums—Repair in the morning and Anti-Aging at night.
Use these products once or twice a week:
- Coconut Honey Mask—Wash your face and then apply mask generously, including around the eyes. For deep penetration, warm skin first with warm water or apply while soaking in a hot bath or sauna. Leave on for at least 15 minutes. Rinse off with wet towel and pat skin dry.
- Kaolin Micro Exfoliate—Apply a thin layer and gently exfoliate in a circular motion for one minute. Leave on for five minutes and rinse.

Optional: Add the Anti-Aging Serum in between steps two and three to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and to firm and tighten.
Use these once or twice a week:
- Purifying Mud Mask—Apply in t-zone, or to spot-treat an occasional blemish.
